Here at the Poetry Pub you will find examples of the poetry of Jeff Reeve. Some of the poems will include illustrations, either photos or art works. In some cases the illustration inspired the poem, and in some the poem inspired the illustration. Creativity has many outlets and inlets.

In this section of the cracked jar website you will find, surprise, poetry. Most of it will be written by yours truly (Jeff Reeve). Hopefully there will also be links to other poets as well. The button menu above will open one of my poems. Buttons or links after a poem will go to additional topics, poems, or store sites. Of course, there will be a link to purchase my book of poems, they don't serve beer here, and other depressing thoughts. I am currently working on a couple other book ideas, so there is something to look forward to. There will also be links to books by poets that I found inspiring, such as Lawrence Felinghetti.

Come enjoy an evening of poetry downtown, at the Joplin Avenue Coffee Company on the third Monday of each month. Located at 506 S. Joplin Ave., Joplin, Missouri. Starting at 6:00pm with an invited, published poet reading some of their poetry. Then at about 7:00pm there is an open microphone for anyone with a desire to share a poem or more. Sign up for one of the ten, five minute slots. No meetings in January and July.
